Networking groups are facilitated by licensed mental health professionals and provide opportunities for members to discuss common issues and experiences, exchange practical advice, and problem solve.
GILDA'S ON THE GO CANCER SUPPORT
Gilda's Club offers various program activities for those with a cancer diagnosis and/or their family and friends at off-site locations.
Please contact the clubhouse for information on current locations and calendar of activities.
Educational workshops from experts and specialists empower attendees to acquire new skills, tools, information, and techniques for learning how to live with cancer. Cancer education may address diagnoses, treatments, side-effects and survivor challenges, but can also address topics like insurance, finances, legal issues, nutrition and more. Educational workshops are free and open to the public.
Workshops include a broad range of body-movement, stress reduction, and creative expression classes to increase members' skills and their sense of control and well-being. Workshops are open to members only. Typical workshops include yoga, craft classes, book club, mediation, and writing classes.
From our monthly Member Mixer Potlucks to weekly Java & Juice time to annual Seasonal Parties, our social activities build a sense of community and belonging for all our members. Primary goals are to relax, have fun, share a laugh, meet new people, visit with old friends and ensure no one faces cancer alone! All social activities are open to members, and their family and friends.
